Greetings Foodie Nation, and Lovers of Fine Cooking all over the world!  As summer comes to a close, and the cooking fun moves inside, we are pleased to offer specialized cooking classes.  These classes are designed to be a fun and interesting way to learn from professionals in a fun, interactive, and non- intimidating manner.  They’re meant to upgrade any skill level, and help anyone produce better meals, leading to a better lifestyle.  Options range from 1- 4 sessions based on the skill level of participants, and complexity of methods.  Each session includes personalized instruction of 3-4 courses Themes include:

Ladies Night– Light, quick and highly flavorful preparations.

Boys Night Out-Steak Night how to prepare the perfect Steakhouse steak, and some trimmings.

“Not a Diet”  How to modify favorites to make them “Healthy” and more nutritious.

Vegetarian- Not your Mother’s vegetables!  Selecting, and preparing well balanced vegetarian meals including pastas, grains, legumes and other proteins.

“Taste of Italy”- Freshly make pasta, sauces, and other Italian favorites!

“The Basics” – Knife skills, and how to apply basic cooking methods to meet everyday needs.

La Fiesta- Includes Tortilla making, fajitas, tacos, burritos, mole’s, and other entree’s, sides, and desserts.

“Wine & Dine”- Selecting wines to go with the meals you are preparing to bring out the best of both of them.

Taste of the Orient– Variety of Asian dishes, including stir fries, curries, spring/egg rolls, noodles and such.

Mardi Gras– How to blacken, Etouffee, Jambalaya, and of course everyone’s favorite, Gumbo!

Spice it up–  How to select, store and use herbs and spices to create, and enhance your meals!

Wet or dry?-  Using Dry Rubs and Marinades to both impart flavors and bring out the best in meats, fish, poultry, and vegetables.

 

Wonderful New Year!

Happy New Year!!!  Thanks to all of our Holiday Guests, the year ended with a bang and started with new tradiitons.

We added a few twists to traditional Christmas dinner for a family with Country Fried Gam Hens, Candied Sweet Potato Gratin with Roasted Garlic and Maple, Fresh Sage and Buttermilk Dressing, Honey Butter Green Beans, and Tangerine Chardonnay Cranberry Sauce!

New Years started off with Seafood Gumbo and various appetizers for our guests on both New Years Eve, and again on New Years day!
